My 2 1/2 year old daughter has been vomiting for the past three days on and off. On Christmas eve she ate quite a bit of Purina Cat Chow Mature dry cat food. When we saw her she was munching away. I believe it contains a lot of meat and fish by-products. All she had for dinner was four slices of salami and a lot of Christmas cookies. Could this be mild food poisoning? She vomited at 3:30 AM X-Mas day and at 4:30 AM. She then slept soundly for three hours before vomiting again. Every few hours on Christmas day she would get sick. The day after Christmas she was fine. Today, 12/27, she woke up and was very very tired and lethargic. She was very thirsty so we gave her all the fruit juices she wanted to drink. She then vomited up all the juice. Does this sound like mild food poisoning or a bad bout of the stomach virus that goes away and comes back?
PB and J sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and dinner?
I have a 4 year old son, (he weighs @ 39 lbs and is 42″ tall), and all he ever wants to eat is the good old standard…PB and J. I’ve even had to buy the extra large jars to keep it in the house. I know it’s good in protein and I at least make it with multi-grain bread. My question is, how long will this last? He gets plenty of calcium with cheese, yogurt, milk and ice-cream. He loves fresh fruit; not too keen on veggies except green beans and carrots. I have to say though, he does eat well at pre-school; seconds even on most days! Am I not creative enough? Any ideas???

New York State Department of Health Terminates Soundview from Medicaid Program
ALBANY, N.Y. (August 10, 2011) — The New York State Department of Health today terminated the Comprehensive Community Development Corporation, also known as Soundview, from the Medicaid program effective September 12, 2011. After that date, the Corporation will not be eligible for reimbursement for services rendered to Medicaid recipients.
In a letter to the Constance Bruno, Chairman of the Board, the Department cited that the Corporation failed to have a Compliance Plan as required by state statute and regulation. Compliance Plans are designed to ensure that Medicaid dollars are properly accounted for and that systems are in place to ensure that all claims for funding are valid.
The letter also noted that the Corporation’s Medicaid service delivery is managed by two individuals who were excluded from participation in the New York State Medicaid program earlier this year by the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General. These individuals are Pedro Espada, Director of Environmental Care; and Pedro Espada, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer.
The Department’s actions were taken following release today by the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General of a notice of proposed agency action recommending that New York State exclude Soundview from the Medicaid program. The OMIG’s notice is based on significant failures in the Corporation’s business operations and lack of controls to ensure compliance with state and federal billing and operational requirements.
The state DOH will be working to ensure that all Medicaid patients that currently receive care at Soundview clinics will have access to medical care that they need and that all records will be transferred appropriately. The Corporation will continue to be able to care for patients through Medicare or private insurance.

Anyone taking Lexapro?
I am on Lexapro 10 mg for about 3 weeks now. It has helped tremendously with my moods.
At first it made me tired but now I have too much energy and at night I feel like I have to stretch my legs or get up and walk around.
I am going to stay with the dose I have for a couple more weeks and see if this evens out. If it doesn’t maybe my doctor will suggest a lower dose.
Has anyone that has been on Lexapro or other anti-depressants had these side effects?

I’m a newbie to these boards, but not to posting – I’ve been in a very easy menopause, not doing HRT, though I did do it for a year when I couldn’t sleep.
Now my question is, is there a natural approach to keeping my vaginal tissues healthy so that me and my partner can still enjoy each other?

vasectomy from hell?
Eight years ago, I had a vasectomy done on me. It seemed to me that I was in excellent health before then. Since then, I will sometimes get severe headaches, I’ve been diagnosed with depression, my cholestral has gone through the roof, and my prostrate is enlarged. I remember the urologist telling me that since my right testicle never dropped that he had to work longer there.
My questions are: Could the vasectomy have anything to do with my health today? Where can I get more information about this? If anyone could shed more light on this subject or point me in the right direction, I’d surely appreciate it. Thank you.
